The Yak 24-K Transport is the Soviets' airborne infantry transport in version 1.2.

Even Soviets had ground transports already, they still needed air transport, to move their infantry across water and cliffs. There have been plans to recreate Hinds as primary air transport units, but Soviets dropped that project. Instead, they created much better Yak-24k. Better, because there was no need to replan everything in old Hind project, and whole construction of Yak-24k is stronger, so it won't be taken down so easily. Similar to NightHawk Transport, but it is unarmed, so it should be protected somehow, or it will be easily destroyed, even with it's armor.[1]
