—A confident Watercat driver |
The Watercat Transport is Foehn's amphibious transport vehicle. Respectably fast and durable, they are useful for carrying land vehicles between islands.
Official description[]
The ability to transport large amounts of forces over one of the most common environmental obstacles, water, has always been a deciding factor in war. Bodies of water of any size no longer prove to be a problem when amphibious transports are used. Easily gliding over water with their powerful turbines, they can transport both infantry and armor to any location. Keep in mind though that these transports are only lightly armed, and should not be put in harm's way in order to prevent severe losses. As the Watercat equips a windspin engine, its speed will be boosted by a lot near a Spinblade.[1]
Overview[]
Watercats may seem pointless when the much faster and better armed Jackal Racer exists, but they still retain their usefulness as they can carry vehicles. Their top speed is better than the Allied and Soviet transports, but not the Epsilon Mandjet. It also retains a higher passenger survivability rate compared to the Jackal, but be sure to send an escort of some sort so that it doesn‘t get destroyed due to unforeseen circumstances in the water.
Perhaps a Watercat’s greatest strength, however, is its ability to be boosted by Spinblades. Traveling along networks of them is one of the fastest ways to ferry heavy Last Bastion vehicles (including a single Mastodon) and some infantry in large quantities around the battlefield.

Behind the scenes[]
- Prior to version 3.3.5, the Watercat Transport was named as Warturtle Transport. This name is changed later due to confusion caused by the similarity with Battle Tortoise.
