Walls are the most basic defense used by all sides during any wars, capable of preventing infantry and light vehicles from going through although heavier vehicles can crush them, thus making walls only viable in early stages of the game or to prevent key structures such as labs from being captured or infiltrated.
The Allies use Concrete Walls while the Soviets use Armored/Fortress Walls and the PsiCorps/Epsilon use Citadel Walls in version 1.2 and the 2.x series, respectively. They do have different stats.
Official description[]
Allied[]
Walls are good at blocking off passages or stuff. You'll usually want to enclose your Construction Yard or Tech Center with walls for added protection. Allied Concrete Walls are stronger than Soviet or Epsilon versions. [1][2]
Soviet[]
It was big disappointment for the Soviets, that they couldn't use the Kremlin walls for protection of their bases as those were too expensive to build them everywhere. Soviet Fortress Walls are weaker but cheaper walls used using by the army of Soviets. Although they are not as strong as Allied Concrete Walls those can be build further than Allied version. If you have something built further from your base, it is recommended to use Soviet walls. As other, they have been made to defend your structures from enemy units.[3][4]
Epsilon/PsiCorps[]
Epsilon Citadel Walls are very reliable anti-infantry and anti-tank barricades when there is no other good defense around, you can use them as last hope protection line. You might also want to surround lighter structures with them like the Research Lab, as they should have additional shield. Apart from magnificent appearrance, Citadel Walls are just between Allied and Soviet ones as far as strength and adjacency is concerned. Remember that Psychic Interrupter or it's mobile version CANNOT cloak walls![5][6]
