The Voltagor Amplifier is an advanced long range defense used by the Soviets. It only exists on Mental Omega version 1.2 and older.

It is eventually succeeded by the Hammer Defense introduced in version 3.0.

Official description

Since the Allies added Grand Cannons in standard defense usage, Soviets decided to create their own new powerful defense with long range of fire. Voltagor Amplifiers are the answer. Based on Tesla technology, the Voltagor's lightning is much more powerful than Tesla Coil's and has longer range, but it does charge up longer and it cannot be mixed with auto-targeting systems, making the Voltagor inaccurate. It may also cause a lot of damage in Soviet base when firing at intruders inside, due to the electric explosion having big radius, so be wary of their placement.

Trivia

• The Voltagor Amplifier uses the same selection sound as the Nuclear Reactor in version 1.2.
