—Mobile War Factory |
The Mobile War Factory, as its name suggests, allows Soviet commanders to produce vehicles anywhere they please, especially right in front of their enemies.
Official description[]
Travelling with slow and heavy units always takes a lot of time, Soviets know how that tastes. They have decided to create something that will reduce problems with unit transport through the battlefield - basing on Mobile Construction Vehicle technology, they created another structure carrier - the Mobile War Factory. It may move on the battlefield and deploy into a small War Factory where one is required most. Although it deploys into unit construction structure, it cannot work on it's own. You must have at least one of primary War Factories - it can be Soviet, Allied or Epsilon one but one of them must be established, otherwise you won't be able to create units. MWF technology differs from MCV though - only one Mobile War Factory can be build, unless you deploy moving one into a factory - and when it's done, you cannot redeploy the MWF again. To start production of vehicles in Deployed Mobile War Factory, just select it and then click on building again, setting it as 'primary' War Factory. Mobile War Factory is the only possibility to construct the Centurion Siege Crawler in a place which is inaccessible for it, like across the river or over the cliff - it just has to be build in one of Mobile War Factories, which reaches the area not available for the crawler.[1][2]
Overview[]
Unlike its counterpart from the 3.x series, the Mobile War Factory cannot be unpacked once deployed, but in return, the player can train another M.W.F. once the last one has been deployed.
Behind the scenes[]
- The icon of the Mobile War Factory in version 1.2 is based on the icon of the unused American POW truck from Generals.
