The Spinblade is a support structure that is deployed from the Foehn Cloud Piercer. It is a device that makes nearby units with windspin engines to be able to accelerate at greater velocities, resulting in a significant increase to their movement speed. It is especially useful to support Foehn's fast attack units, to quickly pull back forces, and even to supplement mining paths.
The following units are affected by Spinblades; all these units leave a blue trail while moving as a subtle indicator (the Recon Drones also do so, but are unaffected by Spinblades):
- Clairvoyant
- Zorbtrotter/Zorbfloater
- Eureka
- Minermite
- Draco Light Tank
- Jackal Racer
- Roadrunner
- Sweeper
- Tarchia Cannon
- Watercat Transport
- Swordfish
- Whipray
- Leviathan Helicarrier
AI behavior[]
The AI will deploy a Spinblade on specific task forces that will be prepared and will regroup near the enemy base when the Spinblade is 70% charged, or roughly 1 minute before it is ready.
Medium/Hard[]
The following task forces will proceed to attack the closest target:
- 2x Jackal Racers
- 2x Draco Tanks
The following task forces will proceed to infiltrate a structure:
- 6x Clairvoyants
The structures can be any of the following:
- Offensive superweapons
- Production buildings (this includes airfields and shipyards, which the Clairvoyant is unable to infiltrate)
- Power plants
The AI is also able to build the Spinblade directly from a Foehn Construction Yard. Depending on the difficulty, the AI will only build a certain amount of Spinblades if built this way. Easy AI will build a maximum of 1 Spinblade, while Medium and Hard AI will build a maximum of 2.
