—Salvage Disc

The Salvage Disc is an aerial repair unit owned by the Epsilon Empire/PsiCorps in Mental Omega versions 2.0 and 1.2, respectively.

Although removed as of version 3.0, the terrestrial Stinger walker fulfills a similar role, as long as an Engineer is inside.

Official description[]

v2.0[]

Epsilon keeps expanding its army after learning from past failures - the Salvage Disc is Epsilon's response to the issue suggested by some Epsilon tank commanders. Though Yuri has decided to utilize damaged units and captured ones in Grinder, sometimes it would cost him too much to just grind his forces and last with no units at all! Salvage Disc has been based on the similar anti-gravity technology used in Floating Disc, though unlike its bigger brother, instead of a drain beam inductor it has a repair beam inductor. It is not known for Allies nor Soviets how the beam works but its effects are clear - it repairs any damaged metal parts in Epsilon units.[1]

v1.2[]

No service depots in PsiCorps bases caused a lot of troubles. They weren't able to repair damaged units during the battle, so the number of tanks was falling drastically during the battles. To remove that deficience, PsiCorps decided to create a unit which would be able to repair them. Some technicians proposed to make a flying disc prototype with an installed repair beam, so they would be able to repair damaged submarines and Gattling[sic] Warships. After some work, they got Salvage Discs to use; they can fly over a damaged unit and repair it with a special power beam. It also self heals like the Floating Disc.[2]
