—Dreadnought |
The Dreadnought is a capital warship used by the Soviet navy in version 2.x and 1.2 respectively, for long-range naval bombardment with its ballistic missiles.
Official description[]
v2.x[]
Even with Missile Subs restored back to the Soviet navy, the mighty Dreadnoughts still remain as naval units with longest attack range! Redesigned to follow General Vladmir's Command Ship shape in order to achieve better immunity to enemy fire, it can launch two of it's 'E17-Snowstorm' missiles at the target, leaving nothing at the place. Usually, a series of two E17's blows up each of buildings and units, but some of them have better armour. Missiles can be also shot down by anti-air systems. Dreadnought has extreme range, but it's not recommended to attack moving units with this, as this massive ship has quite a bad targeting. New target positions always arrive to this unit with a small delay so sometimes it may fire missiles at a target which has already been destroyed. The ship is also very slow and doesn't turn too fast, so it's encounter with enemy destroyers or submarines usually ends with new big shipwreck in the sea. Don't leave this unit unprotected. Radar dish mounted on the top of this warship makes it and it's missiles both invisible for enemy satelittes.[1]
v1.2[]
Even with Missile Subs restored, the mighty Dreadnoughts still remains as units with longest attack range in the world! After moving to the requested water zone, it will launch two of it's 'E17-Snowstorm' missiles at the target, exterminating it from Earth. Usually, strike of two E17's blows up each of buildings and units, but some of them can have better armour. Missiles can be also shot down by anti-air systems. Dreadnought has extreme range, but it's not recommended to attack moving units with this, as this massive ship has quite bad targeting. New target positions always arrive to this unit late, when it launches next two missiles to the target that doesn't exist anymore! It is also slow and doesn't turn too fast, so meeting up with enemy destroyers or submarines usually ends with new big shipwreck in the sea.[2]
