This challenge is one of the hardest, but is easy to understand, Subfactions that can take control of enemy units have an easier time in this challenge. Hijackers, Psychic Towers, or Masterminds combined with Magnetrons can easily take over enemy units and use them either to defend or mass to support the attack on the Chinese base. Alternatively, Subfactions that specialize in air superiority like the Wings of Coronia have an easier time destroying enemy positions than factions that specialize in the ground, Coronia's Tarchia Cannons can also be used effectively to push through the Chinese chokepoints as their long attack range allows them to demolish the Hammer Defenses and Iron Guards without fear of retaliation, but as of version 3.3.6, some means of manual targeting is needed as the Tarchia Cannons’s arching projectiles means that their plasma howitzers will miss targets on the high ground.

The Scorpion Cell do well in this challenge, not only do they have the ability to steal units (as mentioned above) but they also have Tyrants that could easily destroy the Old Iron Curtains and Iron Guards thanks to their subterranean nature (it's advised to use Rage on them if it's ready to be activated). However, the Cell's arsenal is not that efficient in destroying the Chinese bases so it is better for the Scorpion Player to support his teammate rather than going on his own.

In addition, One can send Malver and a couple of infiltrators to an enemy's base, use Malver to kill any Attack Dogs or Terror Drones that threaten the Infiltrator(s), or could use the Shadow Ring support power (be wary of stealth detectors like Tesla Troopers, Armadillos and Sensor Towers).

One of the best, if not the best subfaction in this challenge is European Alliance, due to several reasons. One of them being the Charon Tanks, as any Chinese vehicles hit by Charon does NOT create the iron curtain effect so a squad of Charons can completely delete any attack groups, be it Quilins or Nuwas. Thor Gunships can provide cover against Kirovs and Cyborg Vanguards, while Prism Tanks' superb speed lets them do some nasty hit and runs against Chineese bases. In addition, superweapons is also one your side, as a Chronosphere can completely ignore those pesky defences blocking your way. Just chronosphere a strike forces to the other side, smash those Hammer Defences around the ore fields and start making your base here. The enemies won't let this action go unanswered however. Expect total hell to be unleashed on that base, including Kirovs, Nuwas, Cyborg Vanguards and blobs of infantry streaming from all 3 enemies' bases. Keep sending Paladins, Archons and Prism Tanks via chronosphere to reinforce your base while you build up, then proceed to gut the base from the high ground with Prism tanks, use spies so shutdown power sources and proceed to destroy the bases.

Haihead, Last Bastion, and the aforementioned Scorpion Cell suffer when attacking, as their long-ranged units are not suitable due to the map layout. The two Chinese chockpoints located right outside of the player's base are both located on high grounds, the Plague Splatter's and Shadray's limited range and weak armor means they will fall victim to the numerous Hammer Defenses easily, the former's poor accuracy and projectile arc makes it more difficult for them to demolish the hammer defenses in time. Mastodons on the other hand will have to contend with Iron Dragons shielded by Iron Guards along with the aforementioned Hammer Defense, their poor effectiveness against structures will make it extremely difficult to push through.

Capturing an enemy Conyard is recommended in this challenge since all Chinese tanks even under the Challengers' control will release Invulnerability upon destruction. Infiltrating it along with the Atomheart before capturing will also grant access to the Apocalypse Tank which possesses excellent synergy with infantry units and can easily thwart Chinese heavy armored assaults.
