The Gap Generator is a support defense structure used by the Allies in version 2.x and 1.2 respectively, to hide the surrounding area from the enemies' view.

The way Allies have improved their Gap Generators, used since the first Great War, what can cause a lot of trouble for their enemies. Gap Generators got a function, which allows them to increase their shroud generation range and make it more effective, draining 50% more power though. In order to increase range of shroud, just click on this building and if you see 'deploy' cursor, click again on the building. You will see that your power drain lever rises but the shroud on radar screen is increased. If you won't see 'deploy' cursor, that means you don't have enough power to have Gap Generator's advanced function activated. That function makes Allied enemies very annoyed of this, because they have to use all of possible reveal tactics if they want to spy out Allied bases. The best way to remove the shroud, is to shut down enemy power or take out the Gap Generator. This device is yet another example of Allied perfect defense capabilities. Combo'ed with Spy Satelitte Uplinks and Grand Cannons, they may create a front line to be dealt with.
