The War Factory is yet another important structure for the Foehn, which are responsible for producing Foehn vehicles as well as their aircraft.

Official description[]

The War Factory allows for the production of Foehn's expensive and technologically advanced units on the battlefield. It is also the only place where the Foehn Revolt can construct its aircraft at, since they do not require an airfield for such units to land and reload at, due to their capabilities of controlling the winds. The more War Factories a commander has on the field, the faster vehicles are built.[1]

The Foehn War Factory builds the following vehicles/aircraft:

Standard vehicles[]

Unit Description
Nminicon
Resource Vehicle.
  • Requires Foehn Ore Refinery
  • Abilities:
    • Harvests and unloads ore equivalent to 300 credits (450 for gems)
    • Repairs vehicles
    • Receives speed boost when nearby a Spinblade
Jackicon
Light Transport Vehicle. Strong vs. Infantry.
  • Abilities:
    • Transports infantry with 1 passenger slot
    • Infantry can fire out of the Jackal
    • Amphibious
    • Receives speed boost when nearby a Spinblade
Teraicon
Unmanned Light Vehicle. Strong vs. Aircraft (no ground attack).
  • Abilities:
    • Receives firepower boost when nearby a deployed SODAR Array
Ccloicon
HHicon Main Battle Walker. Strong vs. Armor.
  • Abilities:
    • Deals double damage when firing at close range
Draco Light Tank
WCicon Main Battle Tank. Strong vs. Armor.
  • Abilities:
    • May release its turret as a controllable flying Draco Autoturret when destroyed
    • Receives speed boost when nearby a Spinblade
Roacicon
LBicon Main Battle Tank. Strong vs. Armor.
  • Abilities:
    • Repairs itself rapidly with nanites when damaged
    • Nanite repairs are more effective when stationary

Construction Vehicle. Unarmed.

Support Vehicle.
  • Requires Cloud Piercer
  • Abilities:
    • Detects cloaked units
    • Deploy to detect cloaked units and increase firepower of friendly units armed with Golden Rockets on a large radius
    • Amphibious; can deploy on water

  • Requires Cyberkernel upgraded with HHicon Cyberkernel Expansion
  • Abilities:
    • Deploy to activate warhead; activation takes a long time
    • Does not explode violently when destroyed before activating warhead
    • Can crush vehicles
    • Immune to most hazards

Only one M.A.D.M.A.N. may be produced at a time.

Only two Orcinus Waveshapers may be produced at a time.

Masticon
Monster Tank. Strong vs. Armor.
  • Requires Nanofiber Loom upgraded with LBicon Nanofiber Loom Expansion
  • Abilities:
    • Repairs itself rapidly with nanites when damaged
    • Nanite repairs are more effective when stationary
    • Can crush vehicles
    • Nanocharge repairs itself and nearby friendly mechanical units

    • Comes with 3 Knightframes already onboard

AI behavior[]

The AI will build a second War Factory if they have built a Cyberkernel.

If Mental AI Boost is enabled, the AI will build a certain amount of War Factories that do not require a Cyberkernel, depending on the difficulty (1 max for Easy, 2 max for Normal, 3 max for Hard). Combined with the War Factory that requires a Cyberkernel, a Hard AI with Mental AI Boost can own up to 4 War Factories.

Trivia[]

  • Unlike its counterparts, the Foehn War Factory has no visible floor inside. This can be seen when the roof opens upon construction of an aircraft. This may suggest that, like the Foehn Barracks, the Foehn construct most of their armor and infantry underground and the Factory is more of an elevator than an actual factory.
