—Brute about to crush his enemy to pieces

Brutes are heavily mutated humans serving as the assault infantry of the PsiCorps / Epsilon Empire in version 1.2 and the 2.x series, respectively.

Official description[]

v2.x[]

Cloning Vats were the first step in Yuri's genetic experiments, Brute was another. Yuri managed to create a giant mutant with enormous abilities. Brutes are genetically modified warriors with a power in their very own arms. Though they do not appear to unleash too much intelligence, they know what they are supposed to do - destroy. And they are able to do that, infantry is no match for them and neither will tanks nearby stay untouched. Brutes are immune to mind control and dogs fear them so always remember to have a nice anti-infantry weapon when preparing to fight against Yuri's forces. Especially, when his Genetic Mutator is about to be charged up and activated.[1]

v1.2[]

After a lot of genetic experiments, I managed to create powerful mutant with enormous abilities. Brutes are genetically modified soldiers with huge power in their arms. They don't present too much intelligence, but they know they have to destroy all their enemies. And they are able to do that, infantry is no match for them, and tanks will also crush under Brute's punch attacks. Brutes are immune to mindcontrol, and cannot be also attacked by dogs, that can help us a lot during the war.[2]

Overview[]

Unlike Brutes trained from barracks, each mutated Brute created by Rahn or Mutation only gives the player $1 when sent into a Grinder. This is probably to prevent the player from grinding funds by repeatedly turning their own basic infantry into Brutes and recycling them. However, the upside to this is that the Brutes created this way can gain veterancy easily.
