—Barracuda |
The Stealth Bomber / Barracuda is an advanced bomber used by United States and the Allies in version 1.2 and the 2.x series, respectively.
Official description[]
v2.x[]
No one can doubt in powers of Allied Barracudas comrade! You may notice that Allied Nighthawks were equipped with radar scrambling devices, Barracuda is another Allied invention, which uses that system. Barracudas are invisible on radar screens. Those can fly quickly to an enemy base and fire high explosive Tsunami missile, which is super effective against enemy defenses, and pretty good against basic structures. Be warned, as nothing is perfect. Barracuda is yet another proof that Allied airforce is not so resistant to enemy fire, so protect them if you want to use them. They are too expensive for one-way strikes.[1]
v1.2[]
No one can doubt in powers of American Stealth Bombers comrade! You may notice that Allied Nighthawks were equipped with radar scrambling devices, Stealth Bomber is another Allied invention, which uses that system. Stealth Bombers are invisible on radar screens. Those can fly to an enemy base and drop a bunch of Tsunami High-Explosive Bombs, which are super effective against enemy defenses, and pretty good against basic structures. Be warned, as nothing is perfect. Even with average armor and powerful weapon, Stealth Bombers aren't fast, they are slower even than Harriers, so protect them if you want to use them.[2]
Behind the scenes[]
- The Barracuda uses an unused model in Red Alert 2 named "FORTRESS", which is kept as the internal name of the unit.
